OUR STORY: WHERE IT ALL BEGAN 📖

The Narrow Lane began with words.

It started with Dr. Oscar C. Johnson, Ph.D., a Christian author, educator, and lifelong seeker of truth. Raised by a Japanese Buddhist mother, Dr. Johnson encountered Christ during his college years — a turning point that reshaped his faith, purpose, and calling.

Through books like 52 Weeks, A Letter to Rome, The Mount Sinai Text, and Jesus: 5 Questions, his writing explores Scripture with warmth, clarity, and deep reflection — reminding readers that faith is not just something to study, but something to live.

But over time, a deeper realization emerged:
Faith was never meant to live only on the page.

Faith is lived in daily choices, quiet prayers, conversations, and reminders we carry with us. That realization gave birth to The Narrow Lane — a space where the messages found in these books could move beyond words and into everyday life. Today, our products exist to help people not just read about God — but walk with Him, in every way they can.
